Manson Awarded Port of Alaska Terminal 1 Replacement Project

Seattle, Washington – Manson and joint venture partner Michels Corporation have been selected to build the Port of Alaska Modernization Program (“PAMP”) Construction Services Terminal 1 Replacement project for the Municipality of Anchorage. Manson/Michels Joint Venture (“MMJV”) looks forward to partnering with the Municipality on this vital project, replacing aging infrastructure to improve safety, efficiency, and resiliency in the region's harsh marine environment.

This $807.4M project will take place over five years and will be completed by the end of 2029. It involves replacing the existing general cargo terminal with a seismically capable structure. The replacement of Terminal 1 includes the demolition of the existing wharf and construction of a new wharf, access trestles, ship-to-shore gantry crane support infrastructure, shoreline expansion and protection, and dredging.
