Manson Awarded NAVFAC Southeast Project

Manson was awarded the contract for the P021 Lighterage and Small Craft Facility at the Marine Corps Support Facility, Blount Island Command, Jacksonville, FL for NAVFAC Southeast. This $61.1M project includes construction of a new 500-ft x 50-ft general-purpose berthing wharf with two vehicle access trestles and a pedestrian access trestle, in addition to a sand ramp for landing lighterage vessels and a two-story waterfront operations building.

The existing floating lighterage dock will be temporarily relocated to facilitate the new construction. Manson will also build supporting facilities including parking, an extension of Pierhead Way, and electrical and mechanical utilities.
