Seal Beach Project Team Wins Partnering Award

The International Partnering Institute (“IPI”) awarded the 2026 John L. Martin Partnering Project of the Year Gold Award to the P-224 Causeway, Boat Channel and Turning Basin & P-226 Ammunition Pier. The project was built by the Manson-Connolly Seal Beach Joint Venture for NAVFAC Southwest at Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach in California.

This transformative five-year, $160 million project has redefined Anaheim Bay, CA—enhancing security and accessibility for the U.S. Navy and recreational boaters in one of the busiest waterways in Southern California. The project optimized vessel-loading operations by upgrading the Navy’s loadout facility and expanding pier capacity while strengthening operational efficiency. Creating a dedicated public navigation channel for Huntington Harbour significantly improved safety—rerouting civilian boat traffic away from naval operations and eliminating the hazards and logistical challenges of a previously shared waterway. This project modernized critical infrastructure and reinforced national security and public safety.
