PROJECT PURPOSE

The Mukilteo Ferry Terminal (Phase 2) Marine Structures project is the first new terminal in 40 years for the country’s largest ferry system. SR525 serves as a key Puget Sound transportation link for the public to Whidbey Island, and the Mukilteo Ferry Terminal services four million passengers annually.

Manson constructed the new marine terminal elements, including a passenger overhead loading (OHL) system, vehicle transfer span (VTS), new ferry berthing structures, and completed demolition of the existing 63-year-old terminal in-water structures. Work also included installation of a new public fishing pier.
