Elliott Bay Seawall Replacement Project

    • Removing existing piling, rip rap and seawall panels
    • Installing new precast seawall panels
    • Placing cast-in-place and precast superstructure components
    • Coordinating with multiple simultaneous waterfront projects
    • Excavation and soil improvements through jet grouting
    • Placing marine mattresses and other habitat improvements
    • Installing utilities and outfalls
    • Installing a new sidewalk with light penetrating surfaces

PROJECT PURPOSE

This joint venture General Contractor/Construction Manager (GC/CM) contract involved replacing the aging and deteriorated seawall along Seattle's downtown waterfront. As a GC/CM, the joint venture participated in the preconstruction services, beginning nine months prior to the start of construction supporting the development of the design and performance of all project components.
