PROJECT PURPOSE
The new Richmond Ferry Terminal is located on the southern waterfront of the Ford Peninsula supporting a new ferry route between downtown San Francisco, CA and Richmond, CA. This Design-Build project, which accommodates for seismic survivability criteria and sea-level rise, included construction of a new fixed pier and passenger waiting area, ADA-compliant gangway and ramping system, passenger loading float, and new ADA-compliant kayak launch facility.
