PROJECT FEATURES
- • Demolition - prior to dredging, remnant piers and an old shipyard were demolished and nine channel-crossing pipelines were removed
• Cutter suction and clamshell dredging
• Approximately 11 million cubic yards dredged
• Dredge material was used to build three reclaimed landfills and three submerged fills

PROJECT PURPOSE
This major channel deepening project, performed as a joint venture, involved deepening the channels in the Los Angeles and Long Beach Harbors. The scope of work included dredging, demolition, land fill construction, and wick drain installation.
