Channel Deepening, Los Angeles and Long Beach Harbors

- Demolition - prior to dredging, remnant piers and an old shipyard were demolished and nine channel-crossing pipelines were removed
- Cutter suction and clamshell dredging
- Approximately 11 million cubic yards dredged
- Dredge material was used to build three reclaimed landfills and three submerged fills
The purpose of this project was to deepen the channels in the Los Angeles and Long Beach Harbors. The scope of work included dredging, demolition, land fill construction, and wick drain installation.
