The purpose of this project was to replenish sand on the beach lost through erosion. The project was performed just south of the inlet in Fort Pierce, Florida. Using the hopper dredge Bayport, Manson dredged approximately 416,000 cubic yards of material for placement onto 4,350’ of beach. The fill material was dredged from a borrow area in the Atlantic Ocean, 4.5 miles offshore from the Ft. Pierce Inlet. Additional work included beach tilling, vibration control monitoring, and turbidity monitoring.
