Project Description:
This joint venture project consisted of constructing a new breakwater 3,025 feet long, a new spur breakwater 270 feet long and dredging roughly 660,450 cubic yards. Approximately 8,500 cubic yards of erosion mattress rock was placed along with 1,431 LF of a sheet pile retaining wall. Also required was the demolition of 523 LF of concrete jetties as well as the demolition and reconstruction of a bridge abutment.  Additionally, a pre-stressed concrete girder bridge 95 feet long and a bridge pier were designed and constructed.
